Dreaming of being in a pool right now- -10 this morning in Colorado. Good article.

Great article. But you talk about the heating costs but not alternative options such as solar heating. I added an additional link in my post that covers those options.

Just a quick note - great post by the way....
I find that most of the trouble with pools and spas is overall poor maintenance, lack of care knowledge and make shift repairs or us of inappropriate parts.

I think that to receive the loan from banks you must have a great reason. However, one time I have got a car loan, because I wanted to buy a car.

In my opinion it is better to have a pool for business like resort. In this way you can earn the money you need to spend for the maintenance. A private pool is great only if swimming is really your passion and you want to use it all the time.

This post had been very helpful. I have having plans in having swimming pool and having read the post reminds me to take into consideration on the maintenance and other cost. Good read. Thanks!

It's usually done by connecting a hose to the pool equipment, and then operating a valve that reverses the water flow so that the water pushes the dirt out and drains through the hose (into the street or wherever you put the other end of the hose).
